B.P. SINGHAL I.P.S. (Retd.) Former Director General of Police, U.P. and Ex-M.P. |
Lord Minto sowed the seeds of Pakistan in 1906. Mahatma Gandhi added manure and assured irrigation to it through his mindless, foolish and politically disastrous unilateral support to the Ali Brothers ? Mohamed Ali and Shaukat Ali ? in the days of Khilafat Agitation during 1920?21 and finally Mohamed Ali Jinnah reaped the final full harvest of Pakistan on August 14, 1947 and thus translated his Mission Statement of ?We Muslims are a Nation? into a reality.
According to B P Singhal, even after independence the ?Minorities of India? , more specially the Muslims, have been accorded a Special Privileged Status by the State, Government and the Constitution. He gives the following facts to establish his thesis:
1. The Indian Constitution in its Preamble guaranteed Justice, Social, Economic and Political, Liberty, of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship, equality of status and opportunity etc.
2. Even while granting equality to all, the Constitution itself provided extraordinary rights to the Minorities in its Articles 25, 26, and 27, 28, 29 and 30 and THUS GAVE THE STATUS OF SPECIAL CLASS CITIZENS TO THE MUSLIMS AND OTHER MINORITIES. B P Singhal rightly asserts that ?the even more significant part is that this affirmative freedom given to the Muslims of India was specially denied to the Majority Community (Hindus) in all Government Institutions.
3. In every country there is only ONE uniform set of Laws for its people but, in deference to Muslim sentiment the Muslims in India have been permitted to be governed by their Muslim Personal Law, signifying a special consideration to them and thus in effect conferring a special status on them.
4. The Hindu Code Bill has been merrily amended from time to time as per the changing times and circumstances but Muslim Personal Law has never been touched in deference to the sentiments of Muslim leaders on this issue. Even when the Supreme Court gave specific orders through a judgement to protect the interests of a divorced Muslim woman, the then Government of Rajiv Gandhi upturned the Supreme Court Judgement by bringing in a new Law to permit the continuance of the Status quo of the Muslim Personal Law, in deference to the sentiments of Muslim leaders.
5. In striking contrast, the Islam-embracing, Christianity-coveting and Hindu-destroying Congress Government never even thought of bringing a law for reconstructing the existing Ram Temple at Ayodhya even after 9,77,03,063 citizens of India appended their signatures on a petition to the President of India, which said: ?We are of the definite view that only the temple should be reconstructed at Ram Janma Bhoomi at Ayodhya. A Mosque can be built beyond the Panch Kosi Parikrama?. For the sake of elucidation of pseudo-secular Hindus, B.P. Singhal had indicated that of the nearly 10 crores of signatures, 3,97,388 were Muslims and 2,81,272 were Christians.
6. ?Vande Mataram?, the song that inspired all freedom fighters ? the sacred words that often were the last words uttered by Martyrs like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekar Azad before they were put to death by hanging? was not granted the status of the ?National Anthem? taking note of the fact that some sections of Muslims were averse to it. Does it not signify the fact that a special consideration was given to Muslim sentiments, blatantly riding a rough shod over sacred Hindu sentiments?
7. The culture of every Nation is known by the name of the country like the French Culture, British Culture, Japanese Culture and so on. But, in obvious deference to the sentiments of Indian Muslims, when FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES OF CITIZENS were listed in Article 51-A of the Constitution, its Clause (f) read as follows: ?To value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture?. Singhal pertinently says that ?it did not say our ?Bharatiya? or ?Indian? Culture?. Writing in a lighter (but no less serious!) vein, Singhal concludes: ?As though after the river Yamuna merged into GANGA, the Ganga ought to have been rechristened as ?COMPOSITE RIVER?.
B.P. Singhal lists many Government actions after independence which fully confirm how the Muslims are consistently treated as Special Class Citizens and how Hindus on the other hand stand out as Second Class Citizens. Here are the thrust points made by Singhal:
a) When the Supreme Court enhanced the salaries of all Imams, Naib Imams, Muazzins and Cleriks, serving in the Mosques of the country, the then Prime Minister, Narasimha Rao, had declared that it will cost an additional Rs. 600 crores to the exchequer in the form of grants to the Waqf Boards of the country to meet the cost of hike in their salaries. On the other hand, the State-neglected, if not condemned, Pujaris of Hindu temples and Granthies of Sikh Gurdwaras had to fend for themselves. That is the Congress definition of Rule of Law and Equality before the Law. This Rule of Congress Law(lessness) has to be democratically demolished by the Hindus of India in 2009 general elections!!
b) In a reply to a Parliament Question in 2001, the then Union Minister said that an amount of Rs.12,000 per Haj pilgrim was being spent by the Government as subsidy to them. He also said that the number of Haj pilgrims enjoying this special subsidy rose from 30,503 in 1995 to 70,193 in 2001. The fact to be noted in this context is that that there is no Haj subsidy in any of the 52 Muslim countries in the world!
c) A sum of Rs.30 lakhs was paid by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Rs 40 lakhs by another Prime Minister V P Singh, in cash, to the Shahi Imam for the repairs and beautification of the Jamma Masjid of Delhi. A further sum of Rs.98,89,941 was spent from 1991 to 1996 by Prime Minister Narasimha Rao for the same compassionate nation building(!) purpose. All these amounts were paid out of the official funds of the Archaeological Department of India. In contrast, not a single paisa has ever been spent by any Government for the repair/beautification of far more ancient temples like Badrinath or Kedarnath, etc.
d) Even when dangerous weapons like AK 47s, Rocket Launchers and Explosives have been recovered from various Mosques, or even where the Mosques have been used for weeks on end as hide-outs by Islamic Terrorists (as was the case at Hazaratbal or Chirare Sharief), no Government take-over of such Mosques was ever contemplated or considered by any Government?State or Centre. In contrast, all the major Temples like Ayodhya, Kasi, Vaishanavi, Tiruppathi, Guruvayur and hundreds of thousands of Hindu temples of this country have been taken over by respective State Governments. BP Singhal states with great spiritual anguish as a practicing Hindu: ?Even the ?Charhava?, the contribution given by the worshipping Hindu devotees in Hindu Temples, is appropriated by State Governments and only a small fraction (i.e. around 20%) is given back to the Temples for their maintenance.? Thus, Muslims as Special Class Citizens get special favours from the Government?State or Centre?and the Hindus in majority in India are treated as Second Class Citizens like their counterparts in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
e) The Chirare Sharief Mosque was burnt down by Islamic Terrorists in Kashmir and a grant of Rs.1 crore was sanctioned immediately for it reconstruction. Singhal asks the following questions: ?Why no such restoration was done to the 64 Temples that were destroyed from 1985 to 1990 in the same Kashmir? Why was the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in a state of voluntary listlessness? Why no money was given for the restoration/reconstruction of 4 Temples destroyed by Muslim rioters in Kanpur in March, 2001? Why are the Hindus of Hindustan being persecuted like the Hindus of Pakistan and Bangladesh??
f) During the Kuwait War, hundreds of flights from Kuwait to India were arranged to transport the thousands of Indians (over 95% being Muslims) at a cost of Rs.3,500 per person. BUT not even a single paisa was spent when 70,000 Kashmiri Pundits were hounded out of their homeland by Islamic terrorists in Kashmir. Such is the humanitarian concern shown by the Government to its Second Class Citizens?the condemned and discarded Hindus!
It is clear from B P Singhal?s Monograph that whether the Hindus realize it or not, like it or not, India, their only homeland, is slipping out of their hands and is being handed over to Islam on a platter by the ?Secular? nobility of India. This is the stark reality which the Hindus of India can ignore only at their own peril.
